A word from the President
Our aspiration for a unifying League,
not just a simple association.
The Sinno Family was the only one to choose the word "League" to describe the umbrella which protects its members from the pitfalls and difficulties of life. We strive to foster a sense of community in our family especially for those swamped by the anxieties and worries of everyday life, and to heal the wounds of the most fragile amongst us. We also want the League to support and enhance the talents and strengths of our family.
For our great hopes to be achieved; it was necessary to institutionalize the regulatory frameworks of the League, to carefully select the right and the restless energies to serve the family, to sufficiently finance the annual budget needed to cover the health, education and social needs of the Sinno family members. Our role starts when the requirements of a family cannot be met neither by the head of the family nor by the government. The Sinno Family League reaches out to its members when others fail them. “Dignity before bread” has however always been our motto, and we apply it by helping those in need without hurting their pride.
My dear beloved,
We were able, with the help of God Almighty, to get new premises for our esteemed family League in order to improve the work of the Board of Directors and for it to be a hub to all individuals wanting the best for their family. We have also established two separate funds, the first to support outstanding students wanting to pursue their university studies and the second to address the needs of those who wish to build a family. In addition, we continue to offer scholarships, health and social assistance, which usually takes up most of the League’s budget.
Today, as we communicate with you through all available means, including social networks, there should be a warm gratitude to those who believed in our mission and worked to achieve it, whether those who are giving financial support or individuals whose ideas and efforts directly contribute to running, and maintaining the League. I also call on all to adhere to the family ties and to intensify communication and unity within the inner as well as the outer circle of our family.
“On that Day people will come forth in scattered groups, to be shown the results of their deeds.
So whoever has done an atom’s weight of good will see it” (Quran-Al Zalzalah)
